Russell is a professional actor, singer and voice artist in radio, theatre and TV and a full member of the British Actor's Equity. He trained at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, London. Russell offers a wide range of voices from corporate to character and comedy, and British RP., Northern England, Irish, Indian and South African accents.
Russell is a former barrister, teacher and qualified clinical hypnotherapist - but first started working in TV and radio voiceovers in his early twenties.
Russell is based in Bristol, UK.
Recordings are made in a bespoke acoustically treated sound booth made by SessionBooth. Russell uses Neumann U87ai and Coles 4038 mics. The U87ai is the top, industry-standard studio mic. The Coles is the legendary BBC ribbon mic with a smooth rich vintage sound. Pre-amp is the Grace Design M101, feeding into Focusrite Clarett interface and mastered with Logic Pro X.
